Search for objects

Unisphere supports the search for objects across all storage systems.

About this task

Steps

  1. Click Search icon in the title bar.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Select Name for the Search Type. (Name is the default search type)
    • Select All Arrays or a specific storage system identifier.
    • Select the type of object (Storage Group, Initiator, Host, Virtual Machine, ESXi Server, Volume, or WWN).
    • Depending on the object you are looking for, type one of the following:
      • Storage Group—Type all or part of the storage group name.
      • Initiator—Type all or part of the initiator name.
      • Host—Type all or part of the hostname.
      • Virtual Machine—Type all or part of the virtual machine name.
      • ESXi Server—Type all or part of the ESXi Server name.
      • Volume—Type all or part of the volume name.
      • WWN—Type all or part of the WWN name.
    • Select Tag for the Search Type.
    • Select All Arrays or a specific storage system identifier.
    • Select the type of object (Array, or Storage Group)
    • Click the Select to Search Tags text box.
    • Select one or more tags from the list of tags.
  3. Click Find.
  4. To view object details, click the object name.
  5. Click Clear to clear the results of the search.
